ETO (Electro Technical officer) Course:

ETO Course is basically for joining Ship on  ETO Rank . After B.tech engineering from Electrical or Electronics Stream you can apply for this Course. In this Article I will tell you about all the Details of ETO (Electro Technical officer) Course.

Course Name:- ETO (Electro Technical officer)

Duration:-  4 months

Eligibility:-

1. Pass Class 12^th with 60% in PCM
2. Minimum 50 % mark in English in class 10^th or 12^th.
3. B.tech with 60%  in Electrical or Electronics Stream
4. Medical fitness as per DG SHIPPING

Age Limit:- Not More than 28 Years

Course Fees:- 2-3 Lakhs (Depends upon College)

Rank on Ship after Course:- Trainee ETO. After Training Rank will be “ETO”.

Best College:- Anglo eastern, Great eastern, Tolani Maritime, IMI, HIMT, Synergy Maritime.

Salary after Course:-

700 $ Per month (During Training) and 3000 $ Per month (After Training). Salary increase as per your Experience . This Salary Varies from Company to Company. In some company paid 5000 $ per month also.

Promotion:- At first when you will join Ship that time your rank will be “Trainee ETO”. After completing 8 months Sea time then you have to appear for COC (Certificate of Competency) Exam. After clearing this exam Your Onboard rank will be “ETO”. There is no more Promotion after this . But Salary will increase as per your Experience.

How to Apply:- At first you have to fill Sponsorship exam form for different Companies like Anglo eastern, Great Eastern or there are some college who provide Sponsorship like IMI, TOLANI, HIMT . After filling their form you have to appear for their Exam , Interview, Psychometry test and Medical.
